You are here
You are invited to attend a fundamental baseball skills clinic. This clinic will provide basic skills for parents and players that are new to baseball (never played before).
-- Sunday February 17 at 2:00 pm
-- No RSVP required
Clinic will be held at the Bay Area Dad’s Club on Field #5. This is the park near Clear Lake City Blvd and Highway 3 where the league games will be played. Field 5 is behind the batting cages on Village Evergreen Trail.
You can participate in this activity independent of your team.
BATB Division Director Sulie Nunez will provide the clinic with live examples shown by Senior Division baseball player mentors.
Parents - Bring your players with their gloves and expect at LEAST one hour of fundamental skills explanation and live examples of practice drills on the field for catching, throwing, batting and base running. You will be on the field with your players for the entirety of the clinic, SO DRESS ACCORDINGLY.
Coaches who attend can expect to see basic skills explanations and how to incorporate those skills into age-appropriate drills for 3 to 4-year-olds. Sulie will show you how to evolve the drills into fun, self-motivating and competitive games to use for practices.
Managers who attend can expect to see how to delegate these drills to your coaches in a manner that will provide a way for you to evaluate player potential and identify areas that need more work for each player.
