Saturday January 31 at 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Field 7

The two clinics are identical – you can choose either one.

Please minimize bringing siblings or additional family members that are not participating in the clinic, to ensure attention is paid to the discussion, instructions and execution of activities during the clinic with the brand-new players.

TB1, TB2, and TMP players/parents are invited to attend a fundamental baseball skills clinic. This clinic will provide basic skills for parents and players that are new to baseball (never played before). This clinic will also explain to new coaches how to use age-appropriate drills to create repetition and have fun.

Clinic will be held at the Bay Area Dad’s Club on Field #7. Address is 14500 Village Evergreen Trail, Houston, 77062. This is the park near Clear Lake City Blvd and Highway 3 where the league games will be played.

You can participate in this activity independent of your team. Registered players only due to insurance restrictions.

Parents - Bring your players with their gloves (and bats, if you have your own). A hitting tee & balls will be provided by the league). Expect at least one hour of fundamental skills explanation and live examples of practice drills on the field for catching, throwing, batting and base running. You will be participating on the field with your players for the entirety of the clinic, SO DRESS ACCORDINGLY.

Coaches who attend can expect to see basic skills explanations, how to incorporate those skills into age-appropriate drills and terminology for 4 to 6-year-olds. Aaron Hunter, Adrian Rodriguez, Sulie & David Nunez will show you how to evolve the drills into fun, self-motivating and competitive games to use for practices.

Head coaches who attend can expect to see how to delegate these drills to your assistant coaches in a manner that will provide a way for you to evaluate player potential and identify areas that need more work for each player.
